  Escaping Eternal Punishment The world is a temporary place. Nobody will take a certificate, money, house, car, husband, wife, children out of this world. The only thing you will take out of this world is your soul. 1 Timothy6:6-7 says “But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out”. So after you leave this world what will you present to God? Mind you at the end time which we are today, God said fire will be use to destroy the world (2Peter2:2-9; 3:5-8).  Then what shall we do now? How shall we escape the eminent danger that awaits the world? The answer is by receiving the certificate of salvation which Jesus Christ gives through His death on the cross and resurrection. God said without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin (Hebrew 9:22).   The Narrow Road Every road in life leads to somewhere. It might be good destination or the evil destination. For a normal person if he or she knows that a road lead to bad end or eternal sorrow he will not pass through it. In facts if he has embarked on the road and later discovered that the end of the road will lead to death then he will turn back quickly. Many people had embarked on the road that heads into destruction.  This road is so broad that it allows various activities and life styles. 1Corinthians 6:9-10 and Galatians 5:19-22 listed out some activities and life styles of the person on a broad road which leads to death end —Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?   Dear friend, whenever a person sets on a journey he will be expecting to get to his destination. At times a traveller will get to the middle of the road and discovered that the road is closed due to some unforeseen circumstances such as damaged road, accident or reconstruction. Everyman on this earth is on a journey to eternal destination. This could be heaven or hell. Do you know that one day the road will be closed as you journey on? This can be in two ways; (i) due to death which can be sudden or gradual. God says in Hebrew 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”. This implies that the journey on the road must come to an end someday.   (ii) It can be through Rapture.
