THE ROAD CLOSE

 

Dear friend, whenever a person sets on a journey he will be expecting to get to his destination. At times a traveller will get to the middle of the road and discovered that the road is closed due to some unforeseen circumstances such as damaged road, accident or reconstruction. Everyman on this earth is on a journey to eternal destination. This could be heaven or hell. Do you know that one day the road will be closed as you journey on? This can be in two ways; (i) due to death which can be sudden or gradual. God says in Hebrew 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”. This implies that the journey on the road must come to an end someday.  (ii) It can be through Rapture.

Rapture means the taking away of the saints in Christ Jesus from this world after God’s trumpet call when He appears in the sky. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord”. The interesting part of the journey is that every actions, taught and statements made are in God’s record. “2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad”. The question is that if your journey on the road closes/ends now what will you face on the judgement day? Will God be happy with you? Just considered all of the things you have done, the words that came out of your mouth, the kind of taught in your mind do you think God will say welcome to you or He will be angry at you? Thank God the road is not yet closed but it will close very soon either through death or rapture. The action you need to take is to make amendments of your ways. 

Jesus Christ said “come unto me all ye that labour and heavy laden and I will give you rest- Matthew 11:28” Jesus also said “John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Take the step to come to Jesus today, no matter the level of your sin–both secret and open, you will be delivered and the bondage of the devil in your life will be broken totally. Tomorrow might be too late today is the day of your salvation. Jesus Loves You. The first step is to accept Jesus as your Lord and your personal saviour. 

Say this prayer of salvation and confession: Almighty God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I know that am a sinner, forgive me my sins; I believe you came to this world, you died for me on the cross and you resurrected the third day. I accept you as my Lord and my personal saviour. Give me the Holy Spirit so that I will live a holy life; write my name in the book of life so that I will live with you forever. Thank you very much for accepting me, for I prayed in Jesus Christ name. NOW that you are saved; Do these three things daily: 1. Read your bible Josh1:8, 2Tim2:15 2. Pray fervently Luk18:1, 1Thes5:17 and through Jesus Christ alone not angles, apostles, or His earthly parents John14:6 3. Attend a Bible obeying church Heb10:25 be punctual in weekly programmes and obey. Welcome to the heavenly family of holiness. Do this assignment; study the book of John to know more about; i. Who is Jesus Christ? ii. What must I do as a child of God? iii. What must I stop as a child of God?
